If flower names aren't your speed but you want a nature inspired name regardless, this is the list for you. While some share the names of plants themselves, others are derivatives for a more subtle take on a botanical name. Without flowers being included, this list might be a bit shorter, but its names measure up regardless.



  1. Adair- A strong name for your baby boy, Adair gets one of its meaning from the Gaelic language, meaning from the ford of oaks.

  2. Ainsley- A unisex name perfect for any child, Ainsley means ones own meadow, adding a note of independence to this choice.
